48 Chairs-Snap It Around 7" (UK 1979)

Yes, I have been busy.  Yes, I have been too busy to post any videos or tell you about any bands.  I am taking a little break from editing, before my head explodes, to reward your patience.  And, I consider this a BIG reward.  So, get ready, here's a song by 48 Chairs.  I have been keeping this one under my hat, waiting, hoping to get confirmation on a couple leads.  But, it would appear the trail has gone cold, for now.  If you don't like this song, then you must not have ears.

This band was part of Absurd Records and you can read all about the label HERE over at D.I.Y. or Die.
I hope you all enjoy this and my slow descent into editing induced madness.  See ya real soon!
Love,
Megon

  1. I know this is an ooooolllld post but I have a bit of an obsession with this short lived band, and that single holy cannoli, soooo I dug around deep into the teens of pages in a google search. Found this Manchester media digital archive site. Got a link to a butt load of 48 chairs pages, John cooper clark recordings, show posters and even some news micros. Fucking detective work. But here you have from Phil Platt himself, describing his part in the recording of the above single, and John Cooper Clarke's awesome sauce involvement.
